PUTTING GREEN COURSE
MK Design group specializes in golf feature design, from chipping and putting greens to private residential courses. This Vancouver home consisted of backyard landscape pockets that were under-utilized. To make the most of these spaces, a ‘Secret Garden’ style putting course was integrated around existing trees and vegetation. The 6-hole course offers a range of topography and putting challenges for the golf enthusiast to enjoy. Artificial turf carpets the holes that are bordered by pre-cast retaining walls to manipulate the grade and increase the playability space.
OKANAGAN RESIDENCE
This property is no stranger to topographic challenges and has integrated design solutions with Okanagan style and seasonal forecasts into the concept. The stark contrast between linear retaining walls and garden curvature create a unique balance of hard and soft features. This design style is carried through from front to backyard to create a cohesive space and consistent theme. The plant palette works with nature through the use of zone hardy and drought tolerant species.
